My mother taught 1st grade for 35+ years and this was was a perennial favorite of her students and of mine!! To this day, I can hear my mother reciting this poem. In the unfortunately closed minded and intolerant times we find ourselves; we could all learn something from the puffins !!! Instead of eating each other, let's try sitting down to tea....
